The Alex Alerting Service is aware of the struggles of the public at the moment. Blockades, protests and disruptions. We are not going to encourage anyone to stop — it is a right everyone has to protest. However, over the last few days, the Alex Alerting Service has seen false statements with no proof from a specific public figure, and attempts to radicalise opinion on the current situation.

The Alex Alerting Service has a strict mandate: to Inform the public (through our website and — with the exception of the 2025–2026 storm season — social media, SMS, WhatsApp and Discord); to Protect the public through the information provided; to Advise people on how to be safe and protected; and to achieve all three, to Monitor the world around us, staying abreast of social media, and when things escalate, to watch any public live video feeds available, and The Alex Alerting Service wants it to stay this way. We will say this: we are neither for, nor against the protests. It is everyone's right to assemble, as enshrined in the Constitution under Article 40 - Section 6, 1° (i - iii) , which you can read yourself. What we are for — transparency, honesty, evidence and integrity. We are staunchly against disinformation, radicalism and violence.

We are proudly Irish owned, run and independent. We are proud of the People of Ireland, and we ask kindly that the People of Ireland maintain the common sense, hospitality, love and care that we are famous for. Let us ensure that we remain the envy of the world, for showing what peaceful protest, equality, care and compassion achieves.
