Ireland - Crisis Monitoring
The Alex Alerting Service is monitoring a developing situation within the Republic of Ireland and has a Category 3 warning for civil discord in effect for Dublin, Galway and Cork at this time.
The Alex Alerting Service is aware of many videos circulating the internet at the moment with typical Irish Nationalist songs overlaid, threatening members of an Gardaí Síochána and members of the Defence Forces of Ireland, Óglaigh Na hÉireann. AAS find this unacceptable.
The Alex Alerting Service is currently fact checking allegations made by MEP Ciaran Mullooly, made yesterday, April 9th where he can be quoted saying "I am watching pictures on my mobile phone of tanks, army tanks going into parts of my member state, Ireland." These allegations do not come with evidence, nor has MEP C. Mullooly made an effort to substantiate these claims. The AAS has reached out to them for comment as of April 10th 2026 - 10:46GMT.
The Alex Alerting Service is aware of multiple allegations of treason being thrown around by many accounts on TikTok alone. Treason is defined below. Furthermore the ATCP is a compounding of various legal frameworks across Rialtas Na hÉireann with An Gardaí Síochána allows for the requisition of the Defense Forces to assist with maintaining the peace. As such, OnahÉ is not permitted to use force, but may tow away vehicles where an Gardaí Síochána may not have the necessary ability to do so.

The Alex Alerting Service is continuing its monitoring and is reducing its category 3 warning to a Category 2 warning. There is not much coming from Whitegate in Cork at this time as many video feeds and accounts have vanished.

DUBLIN - Risk Level 1 - Blockade on O'Connell street and unverified rumors of Fuel Depots and Dublin Port being blocked late Friday evening (11/04/2026)
GALWAY - Insufficient information available at this time. However there are tensions arising regarding the movement of fuel from the docklands. (11/04/2026)
CORK - There is an elevated risk to Level 2 in cork at this time due to potential blockades and fuel shortages. (11/04/2026)

Calculation
the risk level is calculated on a national and regional level. While we do not have a live map to calculate this, due to our current limitations, it is worth knowing that we have 5 Risk Levels where Level 5 is the highest and all levels below, to level 0 is as such, less intense. From Level 3 and up, it is considered as potentially unsafe.
This level is calculated by monitoring public rethoric and apparent frustration of the public. Monitoring of various accounts on social media and from checking the news in Ireland. This is amongst other tools being used. as a result, The AAS is able to take a fairly accurate pulse of the nation, and is able to get to some seriously regional levels of granularity, so much so that duing certain events, we are able to tell you what street and even what building the tension is around.
